Evak Agivort Range
The Evak Agivort range is a family of heavy-duty submersible slurry pumps built for water other pumps can't shift — sludge, slurry, and heavily sediment-laden water on construction sites, in civils and utilities, and at treatment lagoons. The name says how it works: an Agitator paired with a Vortex impeller. The 316 stainless steel agitator stirs settled solids back into suspension, and the vortex impeller passes them through without clogging.
Six pumps in the range, from 0.37 kW to 3.7 kW, all with 2″ discharge. Smaller models (0.5–1 HP) available in 230V single-phase auto, larger models (2–5 HP) in 400V three-phase manual. FC200 cast iron pump body, AISI 304 stainless motor housing, 316 stainless agitator, twin EKK Eagle Burgmann mechanical seals.

How the Agivort handles what other pumps can't
Solids in slurry settle and pack down at the bottom of a sump or excavation, and a standard sewage pump pumps clear water off the top while leaving the sludge behind. The Agivort's 316 stainless steel agitator stirs settled material back into suspension, and the vortex impeller then passes it through the pump. The result keeps shifting solids long after a standard pump would have stalled — suits construction dewatering with heavy sediment, sludge lagoons, settlement tank cleaning, and mining or tunnelling work.

What is a submersible pump?
A submersible pump is designed to operate fully submerged in the liquid it is moving. The motor is sealed inside the pump body and cooled by the surrounding water. Submersibles are used for drainage, sewage, septic tanks, deep wells and boreholes, and for raising water from sumps, cellars and floodwater. Many stocked at Anglian Pumping handle solids in suspension.
Can submersible pumps handle solids and sewage?
Yes – some submersibles are designed for clean water only, others handle solids up to 50 mm or full raw sewage. Always match the pump to the maximum solid size and the type of effluent it will see.
When should I use a submersible pump instead of a surface pump?
Use a submersible when the water level is more than around 8 metres below the pump installation point – surface pumps cannot self-prime beyond that depth. Submersibles are also better when the liquid contains solids, when noise must be minimised, or when the pump needs to operate in confined spaces such as sumps and chambers where a surface pump would not fit.
