The Evak Agivort 5.50 (400V) is the flagship of the Agivort slurry range. 3.7 kW / 5 HP three-phase motor, 100 mm (4″) discharge — double the bore of the rest of the range — 980 L/min and 25 m of head. Full FC200 cast iron construction with stainless motor housing and a 316 stainless steel agitator.

Built for the heaviest slurry duty: lagoons, large settlement tanks, deep excavations and process sumps where volume and lift both matter. The agitator stirs settled solids back into suspension and the vortex impeller passes them through the 4″ outlet without clogging. Manual operation — no float switch — for panel or operator control. 10 m cable.

Full Description

The Evak Agivort 5.50 (400V) is the top of the Agivort submersible slurry range, and a step change from the 5.20 rather than an increment. The motor goes from 1.5 kW to 3.7 kW / 5 HP, the discharge from 50 mm to 100 mm, flow to 980 L/min and head to 25 m. It’s built for the jobs the smaller pumps can only chip at: emptying a silt lagoon, clearing a large settlement tank between shifts, or keeping a deep excavation dry when the water coming in is half sediment.

The Agivort name comes from Agitator + Vortex — the two features that define the pump. Solids in slurry settle and pack down at the bottom of a sump or lagoon, and a standard sewage pump takes the clear water off the top and leaves the sludge behind. The Agivort’s 316 stainless steel agitator stirs that settled material back into suspension, and the vortex impeller passes it through the 4″ outlet without clogging, so the pump keeps shifting solids long after a standard pump would have stalled.

FC200 cast iron pump body, impeller and motor cover, heavy-grade 304 stainless steel motor housing and shaft, SS41 stainless steel lifting handle. Double mechanical seal in an oil chamber with an NBR oil seal, 400V three-phase motor supplied manual for panel or operator control, 10 m H07RN-F cable. At 56 kg it needs lifting gear or a suitably rated hoist and chain.

The defining feature. Rotates below the impeller to stir settled sludge back into suspension — keeps solids moving so the pump keeps pumping.

Vortex impeller, 4″ outlet

Non-clogging vortex design through a 100 mm discharge — twice the bore of the rest of the range, so agitated slurry passes without restriction.

Full cast iron construction

FC200 cast iron pump body, impeller and motor cover. Built to be dragged through lagoons and dropped into shafts for years.

304 stainless motor housing

Standard delivery is free on most orders. Some items may incur a delivery charge depending on weight, size or value. Any applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.

Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.

What is a submersible pump?

A submersible pump is designed to operate fully submerged in the liquid it is moving. The motor is sealed inside the pump body and cooled by the surrounding water. Submersibles are used for drainage, sewage, septic tanks, deep wells and boreholes, and for raising water from sumps, cellars and floodwater. Many stocked at Anglian Pumping handle solids in suspension.

Can submersible pumps handle solids and sewage?

Yes – some submersibles are designed for clean water only, others handle solids up to 50 mm or full raw sewage. Anglian Pumping stocks ABS, BBC, Flygt and T-T Submersibles ranges that include vortex, single channel and grinder impellers for different solids handling requirements. Always match the pump to the maximum solid size and the type of effluent it will see.

When should I use a submersible pump instead of a surface pump?

Use a submersible when the water level is more than around 8 metres below the pump installation point – surface pumps cannot self-prime beyond that depth. Submersibles are also better when the liquid contains solids, when noise must be minimised, or when the pump needs to operate in confined spaces such as sumps and chambers where a surface pump would not fit.
