Product overview

The Grundfos Scala2 3-45 is a fully integrated variable speed booster pump. All components — pump, motor, inverter drive, pressure and flow sensors, integrated tank, and non-return valves — are built into a single compact unit. Installation is a three-step process: connect the pipes, prime, and plug in.

The intelligent speed controller continuously adjusts pump speed to match household demand, maintaining constant pressure at every outlet even when multiple taps and showers run simultaneously. The water-cooled permanent magnet motor delivers 44 dB(A) typical noise — one of the quietest domestic booster pumps available. The Model2 is 3 dB(A) quieter than the original Scala2.

The Scala2 cannot connect directly to the mains — it must draw from a break tank, cold water storage cistern, or other below-pump water source. It is self-priming to 8 metres. Suitable for horizontal or vertical installation, indoors or outdoors. Backed by a 2-year Grundfos warranty.

What happens if the pump runs dry?

The Scala2 stops automatically on dry running, water shortage, excessive temperature, blocked pump, or overload — preventing motor burnout. It then attempts to restart every 5 minutes, up to 8 times, before switching to a 24-hour retry cycle. The auto-reset function can be deactivated.

Does it have WiFi?

Standard delivery is free on most orders. Some items may incur a delivery charge depending on weight, size or value. Any applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.

Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.
