The Ebara 1GPE MATRIX 10-5T/2.2 ESPM is a compact single-pump variable speed booster set. A five-stage Matrix 10 horizontal multistage pump in AISI 304 stainless steel, with a 2.2 kW IE3 motor, carries a motor-mounted E-SPD+ inverter, pressure transmitter, five-way check valve, membrane vessel and pressure gauge, so it arrives ready to connect.
The drive holds a constant set pressure as demand changes, from 3.6 m³/h up to 15 m³/h. It runs from a 230 V single-phase supply and connects through a G1½ suction and a G1¼ discharge.

More about this product
Ebara 1GPE MATRIX 10-5T/2.2 ESPM Overview
The 1GPE MATRIX 10-5T/2.2 ESPM is the five-stage, 2.2 kW model in Ebara’s one-pump Matrix 10 GPE booster range. It is a single five-stage Matrix 10 horizontal multistage pump with its 2.2 kW IE3 motor, a motor-mounted E-SPD+ inverter and pressure transmitter, and a five-way check valve on the discharge that carries the membrane vessel and pressure gauge. Everything is built onto the pump, so it installs much like a single pump.
The E-SPD+ changes pump speed to hold a constant set pressure, speeding up as taps open and slowing as demand falls. That gives steadier pressure, lower energy use and less wear than a fixed-speed pump with a pressure switch. The set delivers from 3.6 m³/h up to 15 m³/h, with around 60.1 m of head at shut-off. It suits houses, flats, small commercial buildings and irrigation where demand varies through the day and only a single-phase supply is available.

Performance
Duty points at 50 Hz (full speed), from the Ebara 1GPE MATRIX 10-5T/2.2 ESPM curve (ISO 9906:2012 Grade 3B). The 0, 3.6 and 15 m³/h figures are Ebara’s stated values; the others are read from the curve. The drive reduces speed to hold the set pressure at lower demand.

What is a water booster pump?
A water booster pump increases the pressure of an existing water supply to give stronger flow at taps, showers and appliances. It can be a small inline pump fitted to the incoming mains, or a larger pump and tank set that draws from a break tank to feed the whole house. Boosters do not create water – they raise the pressure of the water already coming in.
What is the difference between an inline booster and a tank-and-pump booster?
An inline booster connects straight onto the incoming mains and is limited to 12 litres per minute under UK water regulations – examples include the Salamander HomeBoost and WaterBoost WB-Compact. A tank-and-pump booster, such as the Grundfos Home Booster or DAB Esybox with Esytank, draws from a break tank and can deliver much higher flow rates for larger homes with multiple bathrooms.
What is a variable speed booster pump?
A variable speed booster uses an inverter to adjust pump speed in real time to match demand. It maintains constant pressure as outlets open and close, runs more quietly than a fixed-speed pump and typically saves up to 50 per cent of the energy a fixed-speed equivalent would use. The DAB Esybox, DAB Esybox Mini 3 and Grundfos Scala2 are common variable speed examples.
