The EVAK Drainox 750 (230V) is the mid-range option in the Drainox site drainage family – delivering meaningfully more flow and head than the 400 while remaining portable at 16kg. Contractor-grade stainless steel and cast iron construction with a Hytrel vortex impeller, SIC/SIC double mechanical seal and FC20 cast iron housing – designed to outlast disposable pumps in silty, gritty conditions.

Overview
The EVAK Drainox 750 (230V) is the mid-range submersible site drainage pump in the Drainox family – built for arduous dewatering applications where meaningfully more flow and head than the 400 are needed, but the pump still has to be portable. Contractor-grade throughout – stainless steel strainer base, cover and handle over an FC20 cast iron pump housing, with a highly abrasion-resistant Hytrel vortex impeller and SIC/SIC double mechanical seal in an oil chamber. This 230V model plugs straight into standard UK mains and is supplied with float switch for automatic operation, making it well suited to permanent sump installations, cellar drainage and unattended dewatering.
When to Choose the 750 Over the 400
The 750 delivers 300 l/min and 15m head, against 225 l/min and 11m on the Drainox 400 – clearing larger volumes faster and pumping further from the source. It shares the same 2″ discharge, 5mm free passage and portable form factor.
For smaller sumps and lighter duties, the Drainox 400 is usually sufficient.

Applications
Larger permanent sump installations, cellar and basement dewatering, commercial site drainage, and light-industrial dewatering duties where standard UK mains is available. The 230V version plugs into a standard socket and cycles automatically via its fitted float switch, making it well suited to unattended installations where the pump needs to run when water reaches the trigger level and stop when it drops.

Yes – the 230V model plugs straight into standard UK mains, making it suited to permanent installations in cellars, basements and sumps where a socket is available.
The Drainox 230V is supplied with a fitted float switch as standard – EVAK doesn’t produce a manual 230V variant. If you need manual operation, choose the 110V manual or the 400V three-phase manual.
The Drainox is a heavy-duty site drainage pump with a 5mm free passage and cast iron construction – built for arduous dewatering. The Residox is a puddle sucker designed to pump right down to 1mm above the floor, better suited to flood recovery than site drainage.
The Drainox 1500 delivers 470 l/min and 19.5m head – the appropriate choice where flow rate or higher head is the limiting factor. The 1500 is also available in 230V auto or manual.
Standard delivery:
Standard delivery is free on most orders. Some items may incur a delivery charge depending on weight, size or value. Any applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.
Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.
Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.

What is a submersible pump?
A submersible pump is designed to operate fully submerged in the liquid it is moving. The motor is sealed inside the pump body and cooled by the surrounding water. Submersibles are used for drainage, sewage, septic tanks, deep wells and boreholes, and for raising water from sumps, cellars and floodwater. Many stocked at Anglian Pumping handle solids in suspension.
Can submersible pumps handle solids and sewage?
Yes – some submersibles are designed for clean water only, others handle solids up to 50 mm or full raw sewage. Anglian Pumping stocks ABS, BBC, Flygt and T-T Submersibles ranges that include vortex, single channel and grinder impellers for different solids handling requirements. Always match the pump to the maximum solid size and the type of effluent it will see.
When should I use a submersible pump instead of a surface pump?
Use a submersible when the water level is more than around 8 metres below the pump installation point – surface pumps cannot self-prime beyond that depth. Submersibles are also better when the liquid contains solids, when noise must be minimised, or when the pump needs to operate in confined spaces such as sumps and chambers where a surface pump would not fit.
