A 500-litre WRAS-approved slimline tank (700mm dia × 1500mm high) pairs with the DAB Esybox external variable speed pump, delivering 80 l/min at 3 bar and up to 6.5 bar maximum. What is the difference between this and the WB-EXT 300 Esybox?

Both use the same DAB Esybox pump with identical performance (80 l/min, 6.5 bar, 43 dB(A), WiFi). The difference is storage and footprint. The WB-EXT 300 Esybox (600mm × 1200mm) suits 3–4 bedroom homes with moderate daily demand. The 500L (700mm × 1500mm) is better for high-demand 3–5 bedroom homes or very slow-filling mains supplies where maximum overnight buffer storage is important.

Why is the pump external rather than inside the tank?

The “EXT” design mounts the Esybox alongside the tank rather than submerged inside it. This means the pump is completely accessible at all times for inspection, servicing, or replacement — without any need to open or disturb the tank or its plumbing connections. For long-term installations where serviceability matters, this is a significant practical advantage.

How does the mains connection work?

The mains supply connects directly to the tank via the pre-fitted ¾” ball float valve. The tank fills automatically. The Esybox draws from the tank via the 600mm connection hose and boosts pressure throughout the property. A minimum of 0.5 bar incoming pressure is required.

I need more than 500L — what are the options?

For larger storage requirements, the WB-Advant 500 Esybox uses a different Advant-format 500L tank. For 1000L, the WB-Advant 1000 Esybox provides 1000L storage with the same Esybox pump. Contact us to discuss higher-capacity requirements.

What warranties are included?

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.

What is a mains pressure boosting system?
