The Salamander TankBoost 450L is an all-in-one mains water booster system designed to enhance water pressure and flow in properties with mains-fed systems, such as combination boilers or unvented cylinders. It comprises a 450-litre water storage tank integrated with a submersible pump, capable of delivering up to 3.0 bar pressure and a flow rate of up to 80 litres per minute.

This system is ideal for boosting water supply across multiple outlets and floors simultaneously, ensuring consistent performance even during high-demand periods. For properties requiring additional water capacity, an extra 450-litre storage tank can be linked to the primary TankBoost unit. It’s important to note that when connecting additional storage, the supplementary tank should have the inlet to allow water flow through both tanks, and the ball valve should be transferred from the primary TankBoost to the storage inlet. Additionally, the additional storage tank must match the primary tank to avoid water imbalance.

The TankBoost 450L features a high-quality, stainless steel submersible pump and is designed for cold water use only. It can, however, be used to increase cold water flow rates and pressure to any mains hot water system, such as unvented cylinders and combi boilers. All TankBoost units have a ½” brass male inlet connection and a 1” female outlet. It is recommended to use 28mm diameter pipework from the TankBoost to avoid restricting potential flow rates, which can then be reduced to 22mm or 15mm pipework closer to the outlets.

For commercial applications where there is a risk of backflow contamination with fluid Category 5, a TankBoost 450L model fitted with a type AB air gap is available, providing necessary backflow protection.

Full Description

The TankBoost is an all-in-one system consisting of a water storage tank and an integrated submerged pump. It offers up to 3.0 Bar and 80L/min – ultimately, delivering an impressive level of water pressure and flow, even when multiple outlets are in use.

Salamander’s TankBoost has been designed specifically to improve the delivery of cold water in a mains-fed system, however it may also be used alongside unvented cylinders and combi boilers, increasing the cold water flow rates and pressure to any mains hot water system. It is important to note that this may restrict the flow rate of hot water that can be produced.

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.

Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.
