Product overview

The Pedrollo HFm 6A is a 2.2 kW (3 HP) centrifugal pump for clean water on a 230 V single-phase supply, designed for high flow at low head. It covers 200 to 1200 l/min with a working head of 18 m down to 6 m.

HF pumps move large volumes of water with a modest lift, which makes them the choice for flood irrigation, filling and emptying tanks and reservoirs, circulating water in cooling and treatment plant, and draining land. Large port sizes keep friction losses low. Install indoors or under cover.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the head so low for the power?

HF pumps are designed for volume. The impeller is sized to move a lot of water over a small lift, so you get far more litres per minute than a standard centrifugal pump of the same power, at the cost of pressure.

Is it self-priming?

No. It needs a flooded suction or a foot valve and priming on the suction line.

What pipe size should I use?

Match the pump ports and avoid reducing on the suction side. Undersized suction pipe on a high-flow pump causes cavitation and loss of performance.

What water can it handle?

Clean water without abrasive particles, and liquids not chemically aggressive to cast iron.

Delivery Information

Standard delivery:
Standard delivery is free on most orders. Some items may incur a delivery charge depending on weight, size or value. Any applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.

Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.
