EVAK EUB-M range

The EVAK EUB-M range are heavy-duty industrial contractor dewatering pumps designed for arduous site drainage on commercial and civil projects where the Drainox and Trenchman ranges lack capacity. FC-200 cast iron pump body, heavy-gauge stainless steel motor housing, outer casing and suction strainer, with high chrome steel impellers that outlast standard cast alternatives in gritty, abrasive water. Discharge sizes from 50mm to 150mm and motor ratings from 1.5kW to 15kW.

EUB-M or Drainox/Trenchman? The EUB-M series is EVAK's larger industrial pump family - choose it where the Drainox 1500 or Trenchman 1500 lack capacity for your dewatering duty. Typical applications include large civil projects, quarry dewatering, mine drainage and heavy commercial installations.
Three-phase installation: All 400V (T-suffix) variants require 3-phase supply and appropriate motor protection / starter gear. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Only the 5.20 rating (both 50mm and 80mm) is available in 230V single-phase (S-suffix).
Choosing discharge size at the same motor rating: The 5.20 is available in both 50mm and 80mm (both at 1.5kW). The smaller 50mm discharge delivers higher head (23m vs 17m) at lower flow (500 vs 690 l/min). The larger 80mm delivers more flow at lower head. Match the discharge size to your duty point - head-dominant applications benefit from the 50mm, flow-dominant applications from the 80mm. Same applies to the 5.30 (50/80mm), 5.50 (80/100mm) and 5.100 (100/150mm) pairs.

What is a submersible pump?

A submersible pump is designed to operate fully submerged in the liquid it is moving. The motor is sealed inside the pump body and cooled by the surrounding water. Submersibles are used for drainage, sewage, septic tanks, deep wells and boreholes, and for raising water from sumps, cellars and floodwater. Many stocked at Anglian Pumping handle solids in suspension.

Can submersible pumps handle solids and sewage?

Yes – some submersibles are designed for clean water only, others handle solids up to 50 mm or full raw sewage. Anglian Pumping stocks ABS, BBC, Flygt and T-T Submersibles ranges that include vortex, single channel and grinder impellers for different solids handling requirements. Always match the pump to the maximum solid size and the type of effluent it will see.

When should I use a submersible pump instead of a surface pump?

Use a submersible when the water level is more than around 8 metres below the pump installation point – surface pumps cannot self-prime beyond that depth. Submersibles are also better when the liquid contains solids, when noise must be minimised, or when the pump needs to operate in confined spaces such as sumps and chambers where a surface pump would not fit.
