Overview

The WaterBoost Grand 5000 Esybox MAX 60/120 M is the top of the Grand range: a 5,000 litre Enduramaxx slimline tank feeding a twin DAB Esybox MAX 60/120 M booster set mounted on a 2 Esydock MAX base.

Stored water is what makes the system work. Rather than drawing straight from a main that may only manage 20–30 litres a minute, the building draws from a five-tonne reservoir that refills quietly in the background. Peak demand is met from storage; the incoming main only has to keep pace with average consumption over the day.

This is the combination for buildings that need everything at once. Five thousand litres will carry a small hotel through a full morning of showers or a care home through a laundry cycle and a lunch service. And the 60/120 M holds 69 m — 6.7 bar flat to 200 L/min, with 240 L/min still in hand at a full 6 bar, so height and long pipe runs are covered too.

Storage and pressure at this scale normally arrive with a three-phase booster set attached. This one runs on an ordinary 230 V single-phase supply. The trade is current: 12.5 A per pump, so a combined 25 A load that the incoming supply has to be sized for.

Installation notes

Check your supply first
This set draws a combined 2 × 12.5 A — 25 A when both pumps run together. That is a substantial single-phase load and the incoming supply, consumer unit and circuit must all be sized for it by a qualified electrician before ordering. If you do have three-phase available, the 60/120 T version gives identical performance at just 4.4 A per pump.

Before you specify
DAB list the Esybox MAX certifications (NSF61, WRAS and ACS) as pending approval in their published catalogues — please confirm current WRAS status with us before specifying for a potable installation. WRAS and Byelaw 30 status for the 5,000 L Enduramaxx slimline tank is likewise to be confirmed. All work must comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and BS EN 806.

At roughly 5,050 kg full, this tank requires a properly engineered base pad designed for the load — this is a structural consideration, not a matter of levelling slabs. Allow a minimum 1,300 mm access opening and survey the full route before ordering. Delivery is on the pallet network and offloading facilities are required at site.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the 60/120 M or the 45/120 M?

It comes down to head against electrical load. The 60/120 M gives 6.7 bar and draws 12.5 A per pump; the 45/120 M gives 5.7 bar at 9.4 A. Work out your static lift, add pipe losses and the pressure you want at the outlet. If that total sits under 5.7 bar, take the 45/120 M and the easier supply. If it does not, or if you are lifting past three storeys, this is the one you want.

Would I be better off with the three-phase version?

If three-phase is available at the site, yes. The 60/120 T has identical hydraulics — same 69 m head, same 580 L/min — but draws only 4.4 A per pump instead of 12.5 A. This single-phase version exists for the many commercial sites that simply don’t have three-phase.

Is the Grand 5000 more powerful than the 2000 or 3000?

No — all three use the identical twin Esybox MAX 60/120 M set, so flow and pressure are the same. What you gain is stored volume: 5,000 litres holds out far longer at peak demand before the system depends on the incoming main keeping up.

Can it really deliver 580 litres a minute?

Only at under 4 m of head, which is not a useful working point. Size against pressure: expect around 420 L/min at 3 bar, 360 L/min at 4 bar, 295 L/min at 5 bar and 240 L/min at 6 bar. Those are the numbers to design with.

What base does a 5,000 litre tank need?

Full, it weighs a little over five tonnes across a 2850 × 1250 mm footprint. That needs a purpose-designed reinforced pad, not an existing yard slab or garage floor. If you are unsure, send us the site details and we will advise before you order.

How long does the tank take to refill?

That depends entirely on your incoming main. At 20 L/min a full 5,000 litre tank takes around four hours; at 30 L/min, closer to three. In practice the tank tops up continuously rather than refilling from empty.

How is it delivered?

Tank and pump set ship as separate items on the pallet network. Offloading facilities are required at site for a tank of this size — please confirm you have suitable plant or a forklift available before the delivery date.

What is a mains pressure boosting system?
