WaterBoost 15m tank insulation kit

The WaterBoost 15m Insulation Kit pairs a full 15m × 1.5m roll of reflective foil insulation with a 50m roll of Thermaseal aluminium foil tape — the wrap and the seal, supplied together, ready to jacket a tank, vessel or booster set in a single visit.

Insulation is built from six reflective aluminium foil layers. The foil faces reflect radiant heat back towards the source while the quilted core traps still air, so stored water holds its temperature for longer and exposed equipment is far better protected through a cold snap. The Thermaseal tape closes every lap, seam and cut edge, keeping the foil envelope continuous and resisting moisture ingress.

What’s in the kit

One 15m × 1.5m roll of EcoQuilt Expert six‑layer reflective foil insulation, giving 22.5m² of coverage — enough to jacket a typical cold water storage tank or a booster set enclosure with material to spare for pipework and valve chambers. Supplied with one 75mm × 50m roll of Thermaseal aluminium foil tape for sealing every overlap and cut edge.

Where it’s used

Cold water storage tanks and break tanks, GRP and plastic cisterns, IBCs, accumulator vessels, pressure vessels, booster set frames and pump housings, external and loft pipework, plant rooms, garages and outbuildings. The quilt is thin and flexible enough to follow curved tank walls and cylinder bodies without a rigid frame, and it stays serviceable — unwrap it, work on the equipment, re‑tape and you’re done.

Fitting

Cut to size with a sharp knife or heavy scissors. Wrap with a 50mm overlap at every joint and tape the full length of the lap with the Thermaseal tape, pressing it down firmly onto clean, dry foil. Where practical, leave a small air gap between the foil face and the surface being insulated — the reflective layers work hardest with air in front of them. Tape around penetrations, fittings and inspection hatches so the envelope stays continuous, and leave hatches and controls accessible.

Please note: insulation slows heat loss, it does not add heat. Equipment left standing in prolonged sub‑zero conditions with no flow through it may still require trace heating or a heated enclosure in addition to insulation.
