The EVAK Drainox 750 (400V) is the mid-range three-phase site drainage pump in the Drainox family – delivering meaningfully more flow and head than the 400 while remaining portable at 16kg. Contractor-grade stainless steel and cast iron construction with a Hytrel vortex impeller, SIC/SIC double mechanical seal and FC20 cast iron housing – designed to outlast disposable pumps in silty, gritty conditions.

Overview
The EVAK Drainox 750 (400V) is the mid-range three-phase manual variant of the Drainox site drainage pump – built for arduous dewatering applications on commercial and industrial sites where three-phase power is available. Contractor-grade throughout – stainless steel strainer base, cover and handle over an FC20 cast iron pump housing, with a highly abrasion-resistant Hytrel vortex impeller and SIC/SIC double mechanical seal in an oil chamber. The three-phase motor draws just 2.4A, delivering the same 300 l/min flow and 15m head as the single-phase variants with reduced running cost on suitable installations.
When to Choose the 750 Over the 400
The 750 delivers 300 l/min and 15m head, against 225 l/min and 11m on the Drainox 400 – clearing larger volumes faster and pumping further from the source. It shares the same 2″ discharge, 5mm free passage and portable form factor.
For smaller three-phase duties, the Drainox 400 400V is usually sufficient.

Applications

The 2.4A current draw makes it a lightweight electrical load on a three-phase supply.

Yes – this is the 400V three-phase variant. If your site only has single-phase power, choose the 110V (site) or 230V (mains) variant instead.
This is the manual variant, without a fitted float switch. If you need automatic operation, external level controls or a control panel with float switches will need to be specified separately.
Three-phase motors are inherently more efficient than single-phase motors at the same power rating. The 750W motor draws just 2.4A per phase on 400V, compared to 5.4A on 230V or 11A on 110V single-phase.
The Drainox 1500 delivers 470 l/min and 19.5m head – also available in 400V three-phase manual, appropriate for high-demand installations where the 750’s flow rate isn’t enough.
Standard delivery:
Standard delivery is free on most orders. Some items may incur a delivery charge depending on weight, size or value. Any applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.
Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Next day delivery:
Next working day delivery is available for a £16.50 + VAT delivery charge.
Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.
Pallet/Large/Difficult items:

What is a submersible pump?
A submersible pump is designed to operate fully submerged in the liquid it is moving. The motor is sealed inside the pump body and cooled by the surrounding water. Submersibles are used for drainage, sewage, septic tanks, deep wells and boreholes, and for raising water from sumps, cellars and floodwater. Many stocked at Anglian Pumping handle solids in suspension.
Can submersible pumps handle solids and sewage?
Yes – some submersibles are designed for clean water only, others handle solids up to 50 mm or full raw sewage. Anglian Pumping stocks ABS, BBC, Flygt and T-T Submersibles ranges that include vortex, single channel and grinder impellers for different solids handling requirements. Always match the pump to the maximum solid size and the type of effluent it will see.
When should I use a submersible pump instead of a surface pump?
Use a submersible when the water level is more than around 8 metres below the pump installation point – surface pumps cannot self-prime beyond that depth. Submersibles are also better when the liquid contains solids, when noise must be minimised, or when the pump needs to operate in confined spaces such as sumps and chambers where a surface pump would not fit.
