Mini Fix Tank

The Mini Single Pump Fix Tank Booster Set is a compact and efficient solution designed to meet the needs of low water pressure applications while ensuring compliance with relevant water regulations.

Key Features:

  • Compact Design: Ideal for installations in restricted spaces, the booster set is designed to be compact and space-efficient.
  • Fluid Category 5 Air Gap: The set complies with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, offering a fluid category 5 air gap, ensuring the protection of potable water from contamination.
  • Enclosed Stainless Steel Cabinet: The system comes fully assembled in an enclosed stainless steel cabinet, providing durability and protecting the pump and control unit from external elements. It can be installed on either the wall or floor, offering flexibility depending on the space and installation requirements.
  • Genyo Pump Control: The set is equipped with the Genyo unit, a proven control mechanism that:
    • Starts the pump automatically when it detects a drop in water pressure.
    • Stops the pump when the flow eases or demand decreases, ensuring energy efficiency and reducing wear on the pump.
  • Low Water Level Protection: The Genyo unit also includes a low water level protection feature, preventing the pump from running dry and ensuring longevity and reliable operation.

Benefits:

  • Compact and Space-Saving: This system is designed for environments where space is limited, providing an efficient water boosting solution without taking up unnecessary room.
  • Regulation Compliance: The fluid category 5 air gap ensures that the system complies with UK regulations, making it suitable for various commercial and residential applications.
  • Energy Efficiency: The Genyo control unit helps maintain efficient pump operation by only activating when necessary, reducing energy consumption and minimizing operational costs.
  • Reliability: The stainless steel cabinet protects the internal components, ensuring that the pump continues to operate reliably in various environments.

Applications:

  • Residential and Commercial Use: The Mini Single Pump Fix Tank Booster Set is ideal for buildings with low water pressure or where multiple taps and showers are used simultaneously.
  • Boosting Water Pressure: It's effective in boosting pressure for systems such as combination boilers, unvented hot water cylinders, and more.
In summary, the Mini Single Pump Fix Tank Booster Set provides a robust, space-efficient, and regulation-compliant solution for boosting water pressure, making it ideal for both residential and commercial installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about the Mini Fix Tank. For technical specifications, see the product details above; for sizing or installation advice, contact our team. If you have any other questions, we're happy to help.

What is a water booster pump?

A water booster pump increases the pressure of an existing water supply to give stronger flow at taps, showers and appliances. It can be a small inline pump fitted to the incoming mains, or a larger pump and tank set that draws from a break tank to feed the whole house. Boosters do not create water – they raise the pressure of the water already coming in.

What is the difference between an inline booster and a tank-and-pump booster?

An inline booster connects straight onto the incoming mains and is limited to 12 litres per minute under UK water regulations – examples include the Salamander HomeBoost and WaterBoost WB-Compact. A tank-and-pump booster, such as the Grundfos Home Booster or DAB Esybox with Esytank, draws from a break tank and can deliver much higher flow rates for larger homes with multiple bathrooms.

What is a variable speed booster pump?

A variable speed booster uses an inverter to adjust pump speed in real time to match demand. It maintains constant pressure as outlets open and close, runs more quietly than a fixed-speed pump and typically saves up to 50 per cent of the energy a fixed-speed equivalent would use. The DAB Esybox, DAB Esybox Mini 3 and Grundfos Scala2 are common variable speed examples.
